ELR-NZ is founded to help Extreme Long Range competitors and enthusiasts find somewhere to shoot Long Range and further. Meet with other like minded people and develop a supportive and knowledgeable community around extreme long range shooting.

While LRA-NZ will provide coursing for those that are interested in the joining in on the shooting development journey, our ELR range is available to everyone* with an interest "in somewhere safe and appropriate" to shoot Magnum and Heavy Magnum calibers. 

LRA-NZ is connected to ELRHQ and King Of 2 Mile, which are both US and global shooting franchises; that support the growth of the sport and community. LRA Members have been to Europe and the USA to attend shoots and events and are bringing home networks, knowledge and experience to help us all develop our own ELR systems further.

Here you will find our ELR schedule of ELR events and training activities. The LRA-NZ ELR range is located North-East of Taihape (Central North Island). Our goal is to develop ELR in NZ and unite with other ELR shooters and event organisers to build a cohesive and collaborative ELR sport across NZ. We aim to provide opportunity for Heavy, Light, Rookie, and 22ELR matches. You will find the current rules for US-based matches, and where appropriate, match rules for events in other locations around NZ.
