Fundamentals Course
Precision and Accuracy all starts with a solid foundation of the fundamentals. During this two day course, we will cover in detail and ensure that, you the shooter, will understand the fundamentals of marksmanship and become a more proficient shooter with your rifle system.

What to expect?
Just bring a great attitude. Two days of non stop delivery of information and range time. This course is designed to give you the skill set and understanding of the foundation needed to produce accurate and repeated results.
Topics that will be covered
Marksmanship Fundamentals.
Fundamentals of Accuracy and Precision.
Set up of individual systems.
Use of optics, Subtension and FoS adjustment.
Establishment of correct zero, grouping capacity and applying a precision shot at 600m.
External Ballistics, use of a Ballistic App and/or Kestrel.
Coaching.
Data recording.

Wind and Range Course
Take two days to shoot with LRA-NZ in an environment designed to comprehensively address the fundamentals of judging, calling and correcting for wind, along with working in a team and spotting. Applying skills / lessons learned from the Fundamentals Course.

Accuracy and Precision
This course is designed to elevate your skills in long range shooting. Taking your skills & experience and building on your knowledge of the fundamentals.

What to expect?
Time to step it out. Two days of learning and range time.

​This course is designed to give you the skill set and understanding needed to produce accurate, precise wind calls and make those first round hits.

Prior learning from the Fundamentals Course, Observation and Windage Course are culminated in the Accuracy and Precision Course.
​
Starting at 600m and take you to 1200m, focusing on precision and repeatable target engagement. 

​Making the most of a two day field shooting experience with LRA, you will leave the course with confidence in your system and knowledge of the techniques required to engage targets successfully out to 1200m and beyond.

PRS Seminar
LRA-NZ Precision Rifle Series seminar is developed to provide superior coaching to shooters who wish to develop in PRS. This offers a 2 day Seminar designed for PRS shooters of all levels to evaluate and train on series of exercises, drills and stages commonly seen in today’s Precision Rifle Series. Students that complete the course will have a proficiency in firearm safety, firearm handling under stress conditions, advanced marksmanship fundamentals, a combined knowledge of their personal capabilities with their equipment and systematic training methods for future progression.
What your coming for
  • Positional shooting, prone, standing, kneeling, sitting on and around urban obstacles while stationary and moving under condensed timeliness
  • Advanced positional shoots off of simulated roof tops and barricades.
  • Snap and multiple target training under condensed timeliness
  • When to use holds and when to dial
  • Advance Marksmanship fundamentals
  • Adapting and utilizing equipment to build positions
What to bring
  • Bring your rifle (optic) and 250rnds (match grade ammo)
  • Rifle Optic, Preferred First Focal Plane, MRAD or MOA
  • Anything you think of or wanted to try for positional shooting (Tri-pods, mono pods, bags, etc)

Field Riflemanship Course - Designed for Hunting
Early 2024


To develop hunters ability to shoot animals more precisely and to a maximum distance for your rifle and calibre.
Field Riflemanship Course
Day 1 / 12hrs
  • Set up of individual systems and optics to shooter
  • Operation and use of Optics
  • Use of optics and correcting for elevation and deflection
  • Zeroing your Rifle system
  • Marksmanship Fundamentals
  • Maximum Point Blank Range
  • Individual / Systems limitations and expectation
  • Establish Holds, Dials and wind corrections for distances stepped out to your system maximum effective range.

Day 2 / 8hrs
  • Riflemanship Fundamental, incl movement and positional shooting.
  • Pairs shooting
  • Use of optics for spotting and observation
  • Correcting for wind
  • Holds and Hold overs
  • Practice, lots of practice



High Angle / High Altitude Fundamentals
Day 1 / Day 2
  • Situated on ground level Engaging Targets from 600m to 2000m with 20 – 40deg angle of fire
  • Set up of individual systems and optics to shooter
  • Zero, True and DSF
  • Operation and use of Optics and Laser Range finders,
  • Use of Cos sign / Angle indicators and other means
  • Marksmanship Fundamentals
  • Platform Building, and Alternate Positions
  • Use of Applied Ballistics and kestrel.
  • Data recording
  • Working as a team and individual
  • Milling / Judging distance to Target
  • Use of optics for spotting and observation
  • Fundamentals of estimating and judging wind in mountainous terrain
  • Correcting for wind
  • Holds and Hold overs
METREP Details
– Highs of +25c/ Lows of 0c.  The weather can change drastically but traditionally we are in for good weather.  Always chance for rain and high winds.
